These terms govern your use of the BeeQueen mobile application. BeeQueen is a professional tool provided to staff of agencies that use the MACS platform; by signing in, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you, the individual using the app, and Columbus Holdco ("we", "us"), which publishes BeeQueen as part of The Hive network of applications.
Separately, we have a commercial agreement with the agency that gave you your account. That agreement governs the agency's use of the MACS platform; these terms govern yours of this app. Where your employment or engagement contract with the agency imposes stricter rules than these terms, those stricter rules apply to you as well.
2. What BeeQueen is
BeeQueen is a mobile companion to the MACS platform. It lets agency staff:
- See the field marketing actions their company has planned, with search and filters
- Open an action to see its day schedule, its crew and its event and cost details
- Take part in the group conversation attached to an action, send direct messages to colleagues and ambassadors, and create their own groups
- Receive a notification when a message arrives
- Switch between the companies their account belongs to
BeeQueen is a view onto data held in the MACS platform. It is not a system of record in itself, it does not create or approve plans, and it requires an internet connection: it has no offline mode.
The app is free to download and contains no advertising and no in-app purchases.
3. Accounts and access
- There is no public sign-up. Accounts are created by the administrator of the agency you work for or with. Downloading the app does not, on its own, give you access to anything
- Your account is personal. Do not share your credentials, and do not let anyone else use the app while you are signed in
- What you can see is set by your agency, through the companies and roles attached to your account. Do not attempt to reach data outside that
- Keep your device secure. Use a passcode or biometric lock, and sign out from Profile › Sign out before handing your device to anyone
- Tell someone if something is wrong. If you believe your account has been used by someone else, notify your agency's administrator and support@beequeen.app without delay
- Your agency closes your account, typically when you stop working with it. The app offers no self-service account deletion because the account is not yours to delete
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use BeeQueen only for the legitimate work of the agency that gave you the account, and lawfully. You must not:
- Access, or try to access, data belonging to a company, client or colleague you are not entitled to see
- Copy, export or pass agency, client or colleague data to anyone outside the agency without authorisation
- Use the app to harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against anyone
- Send unlawful, abusive, obscene or deliberately false content through the app's messaging
- Interfere with the app or the platform, probe them for vulnerabilities, or attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits or access controls
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it
- Use automated means to access the platform's interfaces other than through the app as supplied
- Use the app on a jailbroken or rooted device, or with a modified version of it
If you find a security flaw, please report it to support@beequeen.app rather than exploiting or publishing it. We will take a good-faith report seriously and will not pursue someone who reports responsibly.
5. Messaging and content
- The directory is closed: you can only message colleagues and crew members of the companies your account belongs to. There is no public or anonymous messaging in BeeQueen
- You are responsible for what you send. Treat a message as you would a work e-mail — it is part of the operational record of an action
- Messages cannot be deleted or recalled once sent
- Messages in the group for an action are visible to everyone in that group, which includes ambassadors booked on it
- Your agency may access conversations conducted on its platform, to the extent its own policies and applicable law permit
- We do not monitor conversations routinely, but we may act on a report of unlawful or abusive content, including by suspending an account
You keep whatever rights you have in the content you send. You grant us the limited right to store, transmit and display it as needed to operate the service for you and the other participants.
6. Confidentiality of agency data
Nearly everything BeeQueen shows you is confidential commercial information: client names, project details, crew members, costs and venue contacts. It belongs to your agency and its clients, not to you and not to us.
You agree to keep it confidential, to use it only for your work, and not to disclose, publish or photograph it for any other purpose. This obligation continues after your account is closed.
7. Availability, changes and support
- We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates and outages happen
- We may add, change or withdraw features. Where a change materially reduces what the app does, we will make it known through the app or through your agency
- We support the current release and the one before it. Older versions may stop working when the platform changes, so keep the app up to date
- Support is provided at support@beequeen.app; questions about your account, your access or the plan itself are best raised with your agency's administrator
8. Your device, connection and costs
You are responsible for the device you use, for keeping its operating system up to date, and for your own data and roaming charges. BeeQueen loads its data live, so it uses mobile data whenever it is open. The app is supported on iOS 15.0 and later and Android 7.0 and later; we cannot guarantee it on earlier versions or on modified operating systems.
9. Intellectual property
The BeeQueen app, its design, its source code, the MACS platform behind it, and the BeeQueen and Hive names and logos are owned by Columbus Holdco or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you control, for the purpose of your work with the agency that gave you your account, for as long as that account is open. Nothing else is granted, expressly or by implication.
Data about actions, projects, clients and crews remains the property of your agency and its clients.
10. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: your employing agency is the controller of your account and operational data, we process it on that agency's behalf, the app collects no location data and contains no tracking, analytics or advertising.
11. Suspension and termination
- You may stop using BeeQueen at any time by signing out and removing the app
- Your agency may close or change your access at any time, for example when you stop working with it
- We may suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached, where the law requires it, where our agreement with the agency ends, or where continued access threatens the security of the service
When access ends, the licence in section 9 ends with it. Removing the app deletes the session tokens and preferences held on your device; the operational data stays in the platform under your agency's control. Sections 6, 9, 12, 13 and 16 survive termination.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and without prejudice to any mandatory rights you have under consumer law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.
In particular, BeeQueen displays data entered into the MACS platform by your agency and its users. We are not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of that data. Do not rely on the app alone for a safety-critical or legally binding decision — confirm it against the platform or with the responsible person.
13. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable to you for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or loss or corruption of data arising from your use of the app.
The app is provided to you free of charge as part of your agency's subscription. Any liability we have to you under these terms is limited accordingly.
Your agency's own liability to you, as your employer or contracting party and as the controller of the data, is a matter between you and it.
14. App store terms
You obtain BeeQueen through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and their own terms apply to that download alongside these terms.
- These terms are between you and Columbus Holdco, not with Apple or Google
- Apple and Google are not responsible for the app, its content or its support, and have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you
- Any claim that the app fails to conform to a warranty is a matter for us, not for Apple or Google
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to an embargo by the relevant authorities, and that you are not on a prohibited-parties list
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app and the law change. The effective date at the top tells you which version you are reading. Where a change is material, we will make it known through the app or through your agency before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Belgian law, without prejudice to any mandatory protection you have under the law of the country in which you habitually reside. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably fall to the competent courts of Belgium.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
