BeeQueen

Getting Started

1

Download & Install the App

Download BeeQueen from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). The app is free to download and is used by staff of agencies that run their operations on the MACS platform.

System Requirements:
  • iOS 15.0 or later / Android 7.0 or later
  • An active internet connection - BeeQueen loads its data live
  • At least 100MB of free storage
2

Sign In to Your Account

Tap Sign in. BeeQueen opens a secure sign-in page hosted by our identity provider, where you enter the email address and password your agency issued you. Once you are signed in, the app brings you straight back to your actions.

There is no public sign-up.
  • Your agency's administrator creates your account
  • Use the email address that was registered for you, not a personal one
  • No credentials yet? Ask your administrator, or email support@beequeen.app
Forgot your password? Use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page. The reset email is sent to the address registered on your account.
3

Choose Your Company

If your account belongs to more than one company, BeeQueen asks which one it should show the first time you sign in. Pick a single company, or pick All companies to see everything at once with each action labelled by the company it belongs to.

Only one company? You will never see this screen - BeeQueen selects it for you and the company switcher stays hidden in your profile.
4

Find Your Way Around

BeeQueen has three main screens. On a phone they sit in the bar along the bottom; on a tablet or in a wide window they move into a side menu you open from the icon at the top left.

  • Actions - every action your company has planned, with search and filters
  • Messages - the group conversations for your actions and your direct messages, with an unread badge
  • Profile - your account, active company, password and app version
5

Find the Action You Need

The Actions tab opens on the full list, sorted by date. Type in the search bar to match on action name, code, city, client, project or action leader, or tap the filter icon for something more precise.

The filter sheet is grouped:

  • Status - Ongoing, Open, Pending, Completed, Canceled and more, several at a time
  • What - action name, project, action type, action code, channel
  • Where - location
  • Who - client, company, action team, action leader
  • When - a From and To date
A badge on the filter icon counts how many filters are active, so you always know why the list looks short. Reset all at the bottom of the sheet clears them in one tap.
6

Open an Action

Tapping an action opens everything that matters about it on one screen.

What you get:

  • Overview - status, date, client, project, action leader and controller
  • Day schedule - pick-up, travel, build-up, the event, clean-up and the trip back, as a timeline
  • Statistics - total hours, on-event hours and pre/after-action hours, worked out for you
  • Crew - who is booked, who is still pending and how many slots are open, role by role
  • Event info - location and address, warehouse, transport, projected samples and contacts, location fee and team cost
7

Talk to the People on the Ground

Every planned action gets a group conversation automatically - you do not create it. Open the Messages tab and it is there, named after the action.

In Messages you can:

  • Search your conversations, and switch between Active and Archived
  • Send a direct message to any ambassador or colleague in your companies
  • Create your own group with the compose button at the top right
  • Swipe a conversation to Archive it, or to Leave a group
  • Tap the title of a group to see who is in it and add or remove people
8

Turn On Notifications

BeeQueen asks for permission to send notifications shortly after your first sign-in. Say yes: it is how you hear about a problem on site while there is still time to fix it. Notifications are sent for new chat messages.

Said no by accident? The prompt only appears once. Turn notifications back on in your device settings - Settings › Notifications › BeeQueen on iOS, Settings › Apps › BeeQueen › Notifications on Android - then reopen the app so it can register again.
9

Manage Your Account

The Profile tab shows your name, email and initials, and holds everything account related.

✓ Active company - switch between the companies you belong to
✓ Change password - opens your account security settings
✓ About - the app version, worth quoting when you contact support
✓ Sign out - asks you to confirm, then returns you to the sign-in screen
Your name and email come from your account with the agency, so they are changed by your administrator rather than in the app.

Tips for Everyday Use

🔄

Pull to refresh

Drag down on the Messages list to pull in anything that arrived while the app was closed.

🕑

Lead with today

The action list runs in date order, so past actions come first. Filter on Ongoing or set a From date to start at today.

💬

One thread per action

Keep an action's conversation in its own group. Everyone booked on it is already there, so nothing has to be forwarded.

📦

Archive, don't delete

Archiving a finished conversation clears your list without losing the history - the Archived tab keeps it.

🏢

See everything at once

If you cover several companies, choose All companies; each action is labelled so you never lose track of whose it is.

📶

Coverage matters

BeeQueen has no offline mode. On a weak signal, wait for the list to load rather than reopening the app repeatedly.
